I love this. It takes us away from focusing on the fears and terrors of our typical conceptions of hell, to instead focusing on the wondrous love of Christ.
Absolutely man. Much of the perceptions of hell are speculative (obviously Scripture references "wailing and gnashing of teeth"), but one thing we can know with much more confidence: It's eternal separation from our Lord Himself.
Perhaps brings to mind what is ultimately most important, love of Christ, and how we can tend to take His love for granted.
To add a bit of context: I don’t believe separation from God is subjective or tailored to each person—there’s an objective reality. But whatever that reality is, I don’t want it.
